Riverfolk hosts Agranoff in North Branch

NORTH BRANCH, NY—Riverfolk Concerts will present Mike Agranoff at the Old North Branch Inn on Saturday, February 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Dirty Linen wrote, “If you’re tired of the endless stream of singer/songwriters whose main goal in life seems to be MTV, check out this clever... veteran New Jersey musician/storyteller, and Ron Olesco of WFDU-FM describes him as “one of my favorites.”

The suggested donation is $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and seating is limited.

DVO calls for auditions

NARROWSBURG, NY—The Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) is holding auditions for its 2010 summer season, which includes two fully staged operas with orchestra: Lee Hoiby’s “A Month in the Country” and W.A. Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte.” Auditions will be held by appointment on Saturday, February 13 and February 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Krause Recital Hall, Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main Street.

Mark Shulgasser will direct “A Month in the Country” and Sam Helfrich will direct “Cosi fan tutte”. Kenneth Hamrick will conduct both operas.
