Ski Club schedules cross-country ski trips

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Catskill Nordic Ski Club offers informal, guided cross-country ski trips on Sullivan County trails. Most trips are free and last about two hours, and are usually scheduled on Saturdays at 1:30 p.m.

Depending on weather and/or snow conditions, the leader may choose to reschedule to Sunday or change the time or location or to hold a winter hike. All participants should call the leader for updated information on Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Upcoming trips will be Smallwood Trails on January 30 (leaders Jonathan Hyman and Gail Rubenfeld, 845/583-4103); Frost Valley YMCA on February (fee charged; leader Bonnie Hoffman, 845/794-7552); Town of Thompson Park on February 13 (leaders Warren and Judy Bergstrom, 845/794-7631); Mongaup Pond on February 20 (leader Judy Brennan, 845/292-7832); and Fluggertown Road on February 27 (leaders Kathi and Rich Widmann, 845/794-5650).
