Eldred art students win regional scholastic awards

ELDRED, NY — Eldred Central School is proud to announce they have two winners in the Scholastic Art Awards Regional Competition. Sophomore Dakota Guerriera, left, took a Gold Key Award in computer art for his self-portrait. Junior Nick Mehedin was awarded a Silver Key in photography for his elderly portrait. Both are students of Jenn O’Neil, art teacher at the Eldred Junior-Senior High School. This is the second year Eldred has participated in the national competition and the second year to have Gold and Silver Key recipients.

There will be an exhibit on display at SUNY New Paltz of all Silver and Gold Key award winners in February.
