Who is in the forefront on the ski slopes and indoor track?

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY Baby its cold outside and steaming inside, as some athletes took to the ski slopes while others sweated it out on the indoor track. Monticellos boys ski team captured first place at Holiday Mountain on January 20. Colin Bunce took third (33.58), Ryan Heins was fourth (34.62) and Brian Tedaldi was fifth (3.73). Sullivan Wests Drew Billard was seventh overall (36.58).
In the girls races, Monticello finished second to Onteora. Fallsburg/Tri-Valley was third. Monticellos Haley Heins (36.38) was second. Fallsburg/Tri-Valleys Kendra Erts (39.38) was fifth. Monticellos Rachel Klein (40.94) was eighth, while Sullivan Wests Kendall Menges (41.38) finished ninth.
Indoor tracks populous Division V, which houses Tri-Valley (T-V), Eldred (E), Sullivan West (SW) and Liberty (L) among a spate of other teams, is heating up as we approach the OCIAA league meet, Sullivan County Indoor Championship and the Section 9 meets, all slated for February. Tri-Valleys girls (14-0) are currently in first place, ahead of Millbrook and Sullivan West (11-3). On the boys side of the ledger, Liberty (10-4) is in second, behind Pine Plains (14-0).
At West Point this past weekend, the following teams and athletes were winners: Boys: 4x200, (E), 1:46.22; 4x400, (L), 3.5349; 55H, Ryan Harnish (L), 9.43; 55, Brendan Moore (T-V), 6.86; 1600, Hunter Proscia (E), 4:42.61; 300, Danny Anderson (L), 37.80; Shot put, Mark Tesseyman (SW), 40-10; Triple jump, Gerald King (E), 40-04; Long jump, Anderson (L), 19-04; High jump, Herman Drayton (L), 6-00; and Weight throw, Bobby Warden (E), 41-02.50. Girls: 4x400, (E), 4:40.01; 55H, Emma Tingley (T-V), 10.09; 55, Christina Watts (E), 7.71; 600, Christine Donnelly (E), 1:48.16; 300, Watts (E), 45.82; 1500 racewalk, Rachel Deppa (SW), 8:17.55; Shot put, Tehnyat Khan (T-V), 34-02.50; Triple jump, Jessica Dunnigan (L), 33-01.25; Long jump, Dunnigan (L), 15-07; High jump, Kendra Barker (SW), 5-00; and Weight throw, Dominique Darby (T-V), 43-07.75.
