Milestones, new records and elevated performances at West Point track meet

WEST POINT, NYIts a rarity these days to see Division III Monticello at the same track meet at West Point with Division Vs Sullivan West, Eldred, Liberty and Tri-Valley. So with all of them under the same roof at the Gillis Field House, the midseason encounter was well worth the trip.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NYThe devastating earthquake in Haiti has unleashed a compassionate response worldwide and in our backyard. At Liberty High School, tragedy-inspired senior Taylir Lorino beseeched the school board for permission to use the boys basketball home game against Port Jervis as a fundraising effort. Utilizing her visibility on Facebook, Lorinos energetic campaign resulted in upwards of $820 dollars for the Relief Fund for Haiti.
