DOUGLAS ACKERMANN
Douglas Bugsy Ackermann of Cochecton, NY, the owner of Ackermann Farms, Inc. and a lifetime resident, died January 14, 2010 at his home. He was 48.
The son of William and Gloria Mueller Ackermann, he was born September 16, 1961 in Callicoon, NY.
He was married to Donna Dailey Ackermann.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, at home; his children, April and Alan Ackermann at home; his parents of Cochecton; mother-in-law Ruth B. Dailey of Lake Huntington, NY; brothers John of Fabius, NY, George and wife Ruth of Kenoza Lake, NY, William of Cochecton and Timothy Ackermann and wife Penny of Cochecton; aunt Marilyn Calkin and husband Fenton; two uncles Edwin Mueller and wife Wilma and Thomas Mueller and wife Judi; brother-in-law Robert Dailey and wife Beverly; two sisters-in-law, Sally Darling and husband Glenn and Marilyn Dailey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Lester Dailey.
A funeral mass was held on Monday, January 18 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Huntington, with Father Bill Scully officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Youngsville.

JOHN DURHAM
John Durham of Loch Sheldrake, NY, formerly of White Lake, NY, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. He was 82.
John was born on December 19, 1927 in Manhattan to the late Sam and Julia Foss Durham.
John had a wonderful sense of humor and easily befriended people. He was an avid fan of the Seattle Sea Hawks and Mariners. In his youth, John enjoyed running and had won a number of medals in competition. He will be missed by many friends and his extended family at New Hope Community.
Funeral services were on Wednesday, January 20 at Ramsays Funeral Home, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Fr. Ivan Csete officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY.
JOHN A. HURTAK JR
John A. Hurtak Jr. of Shohola, PA and a longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 53.
He was born December 12, 1956 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late John A. Sr. and the late Ruth Laske Hurtak.
He was the widower of the late Kerry Hunter, who died November 25, 2007.
John was a car salesman for L & S Auto Sales in Port Jervis. He was an avid billiard player who played with the famous U.J. Pucket and Steve Miserack.
He is survived by daughters Melissa Horak of Carmel, CA, Heather Hurtak of Shohola and Shana Hurtak of San Diego, CA; brothers Craig Hurtak and wife Patty of Port Jervis, NY and Joseph Hurtak of Shohola; granddaughter Savannah; and mother-in-law Barbara Mason and husband Pete Herrlich of Paso Robles, CA.
He is predeceased by a daughter, Ashley Hurtak; and a brother, Jerry Hurtak.
A memorial service was held on Saturday January 16, 2010 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis, NY with Rev. Joseph Iannone officiating.
Johns cremains will be scattered at sea with his wife and daughter.

NICHOLAS J. INGLIMA
Nicholas J. Inglima, DC, of Beach Lake, PA died Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Brighten at Julia Ribauado Nursing Home, Lake Ariel, PA, after an illness.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Julius N. Inglima of Beach Lake and the late Filomena Razzino Inglima.
He was a Doctor of Chiropractic.
In addition to his father, he is survived by sons Nicholas of New Jersey and Michael of Long Island; daughter Adrienne of Rockland County, NY; sister Bernadette Lovico of Lake Ariel; brother Salvatore of Chester, NY ; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 19 in the Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore, PA.

CHARLES LAMPERT
Charles Lampert Jr. of Narrowsburg, NY passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 at his home. He was 64.
The son of the late Charles and Irene Roessler Lampert, he was born August 10, 1945 in Brooklyn. He was married to Maria E. Leon Lampert for 40 years, who survives.
Charles was a computer technician for Bally Tech in Monticello, NY. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
A family statement reads: Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a big part of the family and will be greatly missed. He will always be in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife; sons Scott Lampert and wife Karen of California and Paul Lampert and wife Allison of Long Island; daughter Tara Mutiu and husband Sebastian of Liberty, NY; grandchildren Tyler Lampert, Jade Lampert, Saedra Lampert, Lexi Lampert, Lucy Lampert, Zoe Mutiu and Blake Mutiu.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty.
FRANK DOUGLAS PETE NEER
Frank Douglas Pete Neer, of Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Equinunk, PA passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY. He was 72.
He was a retired highway supervisor for the Manchester Township in Manchester, PA.
He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Schuman and husband Orvis of Equinunk; sons Frank Neer Jr. of Honesdale, PA and Michael Neer and wife Merri of Equinunk; brothers Ralph Sr. and wife Betty of Jeffersonville, NY, Claud and wife Pat of Damascus, PA; sister Joan Cole of Northport, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a longtime soulmate, Karola Sue Grover of Russell Springs, KY.
The family has chosen cremation and there will be no viewing or funeral service held.
LAVERNE NEUBERGER
Laverne Neuberger of Jeffersonville, NY, a homemaker and a lifetime resident of the area, died January 11, 2010 at Campbell Hall Rehab Center in Campbell Hall. She was 92.
The daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth Wylam Bossley, she was born September 17, 1917 in Briscoe, NY. She was the widow of Edwin A. Neuberger.
Laverne was a former member of the Liberty Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Emerson Bossley of Jeffersonville; sons Steven Neuberger of Tuscon, AZ and David Neuberger of Jeffersonville; daughter, Susan Young of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren Melody Faulkenmeyer of Ferndale, NY, Tina Dowe of Liberty, NY, Theodore Young of Dallas, TX, Kristina Young of Endwell, NY and Savannah Gavin; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Saturday, January 16, at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with the Rev. Dale Bossley officiating.
Burial will be in Jeffersonville Methodist Cemetery.

WILLIAM G. OBRIEN SR
William G. OBrien Sr. of Milford, PA died Monday, January 11, 2010 at home. He was 72.
He was born October 27, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late James and Mary Davin OBrien. He married Jeanne Carrino OBrien on May 12, 1999 in Secaucus, NJ.
William served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired as a lineman for Amtrak/Penn Station in New York, NY. He also worked as a financial assistant for M.H. Meyerson in Jersey City.
Survivors include his wife at home; sons Gus James OBrien of Hawthorne, NJ and William G. OBrien Jr. and wife Kathleen of Shohola, PA; daughter Connie Wharton and husband Steve of Milford, PA; brothers Robert OBrien of Woodbridge, NJ and Frank OBrien of Bayonne, NJ; sister Elizabeth Ann Sarkisian and husband Steve of Toms River, NJ; grandchildren Steven Wharton, Georgia Wharton, Kristy Rose OBrien, Stefani Wharton, Andrew OBrien and Erica OBrien; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, James OBrien.
Funeral services were held at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., Port Jervis, NY on Friday, January 15 with Rev. August A. Ricciardi officiating.
Burial with military honors will be at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.

ANNA STANKO
Anna Stanko, formerly of Miller Heights, Bethlehem Township and Shohola, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Township, PA. She was the wife of the late Joseph Stanko, who died in 1980. She was 95.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Susan (Suvada) Kish.
She worked for Laros Printing Company in Bethlehem Township and Osceola Printing in Palmer Township for 30 years, retiring in 1975. Prior to that, she worked at Laros Silk Mill in Bethlehem.
Anna was a former member of First Hungarian Lutheran Church in Bethlehem and attended Milford United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughter Sandra S. Lefort of Milford, PA; granddaughter Heather Lefort of Liverpool, NY; and six nieces and their families, all of Bethlehem.
Anna was preceded in death by sister Catherine Brennan; and brother Paul Kish.
Memorial services were held on Monday, January 18, in the Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
