River council begins again

NARROWSBURG, NYFollowing installation of its new slate of officers, members of the Upper Delaware Council (UDC) heard reports from representatives of the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC), the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

Pike commissioners and library board make progress
Many issues remain unsettled

MILFORD, PAAt a special meeting held on New Years Eve between the Pike County Commissioners and the Pike County Public Library (PCPL) board, the two sides continued to work out a solution to their persistent disagreements. Nothing major was achieved, but a few minor conclusions and a commitment to continue talks were agreed upon.

Proposal for county buildings draws criticism

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NYIs it bad form to seriously criticize a proposal put forward by a consultant just minutes after the plan was presented to the county? That seemed to be the opinion by lawmaker Leni Binder, who said that such criticism could have been made privately to lawmakers rather than have them be surprised by it at a public meeting.
