Carnival on ice
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY Skating exhibitions, featuring nationally and regionally ranked amateur figure skaters, are one of the big attractions of the Livingston Manor Rotarys annual Ice Carnival in Rotary Park, returning this Saturday and Sunday, January 16 and 17.
The snow sculpture contest will dominate Saturdays events, with a judging at 3:00 p.m., and hot chocolate provided to students and advisors. Saturday night there will be an Ice Carnival Dance at 6:45 p.m. in the Livingston Manor Central School Gym, featuring the crowning of the 2010 Ice Carnival King and Queen.
Sunday will feature a wide variety of events, including the announcement of the snow sculpture winners at 1:00 p.m., a parade of the Ice Carnival King and Queen around the Walter Seeley Memorial Skating Rink, skating exhibitions and races.
