Feeling and felting

BEACH LAKE, PA — The Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will present a creative workshop in felting, led by minister Laurie Stuart, on Sunday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berlin Township Community Center.

Felt is an amazing fiber, and felting is creating fabric with integrity without weaving or spinning. As a natural fiber, felt embodies its inherent life qualities, making it a great metaphor for exploring spirituality and our creative and unique muse. The afternoon workshop will give participants a feel for the felting process and a hands-on experience of connecting and creating a natural fiber with a spiritual perspective of interrelatedness.

A free-will donation will be collected as a materials fee. If you plan to attend, email your reservation to info@uduuf.org or call 845/252-6626.

The workshop is the second in the UDUUF “Intersession” series, which runs through February 28, and which highlights poetry, art, film and music as creative spiritual expression.
