FurrBall 2010 approaches

HAWLEY, PA — The Olga & Dorothea Dessin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will hold its premier social and fund-raising event, FurrBall 2010, on Saturday, January 23 at the Inn at Woodloch Pines.

Dessin’s dinner and dance extravaganza will feature live gift auctions and a 50/50 raffle as well as food and music. Cocktails start at 6:00 p.m., followed by a banquet dinner at 7:00 p.m.

Among the items to be auctioned will be a framed painting by Amy Long, shown at right.

Given the turnout for Dessin’s 2009 40th Anniversary Snow Ball, brisk ticket sales are expected, and advance ticket purchases, which cost $45 per person, are advised. Tickets will cost $50 at the door.
