Amphibian is back!

RIVER VALLEY – Amphibian, the Journal for Kids by Kids, will be publishing its youth edition (Grades one through six) in the March 26 edition of The River Reporter. Teen Amphibian (grades seven through 12) will be published in the April 15 edition of The River Reporter. This award-winning journal showcases student work ranging from science essays to sports writing to poetry and short stores to artwork and photography. Amphibian also welcomes news stories and opinions from the region’s young people that reflect their interests and concerns in their schools and communities. School districts in Sullivan and Orange counties in New York and Wayne and Pike counties in Pennsylvania are invited to participate, and any child living full- or part-time in the area is welcome to submit.

The deadline for submitting work to Kid Amphibian is Friday, February 26. The deadline for submissions to Teen Amphibian is Friday, March 12. Classroom and individual student work can be submitted by teachers, parents and students as a word document or jpeg image to marygreene@riverreporter.com or via snail mail to The River Reporter, PO Box 150, Narrowsburg, NY 12764, attention Amphibian.
