Countdown to EagleFest: River Gallery fundraiser

NARROWSBURG, NY — River Gallery - The Art of Living will host a fundraiser for EagleFest on Saturday, January 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event will feature a 50/50 raffle, including a drawing of a featured EagleFest artist poster in memory of Heidi Morse, a one-of-a-kind photo by noted wildlife photographer John DiGiorgio and more. For more information email info@rivergalleryny.com or call 845/252-3238.

The festival itself, now in its ninth year, is scheduled for the following Saturday, January 16. It will kick off with opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. in the Narrowsburg school. A celebration not only of eagles, but of other raptors and the abundant wildlife of the Upper Delaware River Valley, the event is a town-wide celebration at which various venues on Main and Bridge streets and Erie Avenue host themed events from live bird presentations and lectures to films, educational exhibits, art shows, ice sculptures and the popular EagleFest poster silent auction, held at the River Gallery. See next week’s paper for further details.
