Fall: Eldred’s Ian Halloran scores his second TD of the day against Chester in the team’s regular season tilt. He continued his outstanding running in the Section Nine title game against Chester, the regional championship win over Tuckahoe and the state semifinal loss to Moriah. He finished his year with 1,323 yards rushing and 20 TDs. (Click for larger version)

Spring: Eldred's Joey Counts won the 400 hurdles (17.43) at the Section Nine Class D Championships, the first year that the Yellow Jackets’ boys and girls team won the title concurrently. (Click for larger version)

Fall: Eldred’s Hunter Proscia and Alex Campanella finished second and third respectively in the Section Nine cross-country championships and qualified for states. Proscia finished 11th in the state meet. (Click for larger version)

Fall: Eldred garners a first-ever Regional Football Championship with its win over Tuckahoe. The win followed the school’s third Section Nine championship in five years with a thrashing of Chester. The Yellow Jackets made it to the state semis where they lost to Moriah. Coach Frank Kean was chosen as the New York Jets Tri-State Coach of the Week following the regional win. He was also named Coach of the Year by the Times Herald-Record. (Click for larger version)

Early Winter: Eldred’s Diana Schombs excels in the long jump. The talented jumper, who also did high jump and pole vault during indoor track, helped her team win a Section Nine Class D Spring Track Championship. (Click for larger version)

Early Winter 2009: Sullivan West’s girls indoor track team wins its first Indoor Section Nine Championship by beating Tri-Valley. The win capped off a perfect 21-0 season and followed the team’s Division IV championship, also won against Tri-Valley. (Click for larger version)

Early Winter 2009: Sullivan West’s Brad Reimer stretches to put in two versus nemesis John S. Burke. Reimer had 17 points, which included a pair of threes, in the Bulldogs’ stunning 68-56 “Lincoln Memorial” win over the Eagles. RJ Rosa led all scorers with 24 points, including five threes. Spring: Sullivan West’s Justin Armstrong wins the OCIAA golf championship. He went on to tie for fifth in Section Nine and qualified for the states again. (Click for larger version)

Spring: Sullivan West’s Colin Seidl sails over the barrier at the Monticello Games on his way to winning the steeplechase. Seidl won all three of his events at the Section Nine championships to propel the Bulldogs to the Class C crown. He won the silver medal in the Federation Meet in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NYS track and field championships. (Click for larger version)
