Legislative aide Eggleton takes new job

MONTICELLO, NY — Alexis Eggleton, left, was offered praise by lawmakers Leni Binder, Kathy LaBuda and Ron Hiatt at the government center on December 29. Eggleton, who has served as legislative aide for the past four years, has accepted a position as executive director of the Boys and Girls Club chapter that serves Orange and Sullivan counties.

Eggleton was instrumental in organizing the many Sullivan County Bicentennial events that were held throughout 2009 to commemorate the county’s 200th birthday, and served as director of communications for the county legislature.

LaBuda said that Eggleton was one of the most dedicated employees in county government, noting that she once responded to a text message from LaBuda while she was on a date. LaBuda said with a laugh that she advised Eggleton not to do that in the future.
