Poetry for the holidays and beyond
HAWLEY, PA Marcia Nehemiahs second collection of poetry, Final Story, contains poems that have been described as moving, wise and lovely. The 64-page book was designed by local graphic artist Nikolai Klein of Lackawaxen, PA and features a cover image by local artist Erica Hart.
Nehemiahs poems and essays have been published widely in literary journals, magazines and online. Two of her poems were cited for Honorable Mention in Perigees 2006 Poetry contest, Marvin Bell, judge. She received the 2007 Betty June Silconas Poetry Center Judges Award, honorable mention in the 2008 Mulberry Poets and Writers Association poetry contest, and was one of 12 winners in the 2009 Green Heron Poetry Project contest. She is a member of the Upper Delaware Writers Collective.

Local history signed by local authors
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY Bethel Town Clerk Rita J. Sheehan and Sullivan County Historian John Conway will make a joint appearance at Hamish & Henry Booksellers, located at 34B Main Street, on Saturday, December 19 to sign copies of their latest books. The event gets underway at 2:00 p.m. and will run until 4:00 p.m. There will be complimentary wine and cheese provided.
Sheehans book, Bethel, contains 200 photographs that trace the history of the town from its earliest settlers through the heyday of the resorts to the present day. Conways latest book, Sullivan County: A Bicentennial History in Images, released in conjunction with the countys 200th birthday celebration, was published by The History Press in July of this year.
