Eldred downs Fallsburg with a bevy of made foul shot opportunities

FALLSBURG, NY—Eldred’s girls basketball coach Frank Kean and Fallsburg coach Daniel Redmond knew how much work lies ahead in this season’s sojourn.

But you’ve got to start somewhere. So on December 1, their teams opened their seasons with a non-league encounter.

Redmond took over the faltering Lady Comets program a year ago, emphasizing basic skills and team chemistry. For Kean, now in his last season before his retirement, the joy of coaching enthusiastic young players never gets old.

The Lady Yellow Jackets are armed with a cadre of returning players and bolstered by the transfer of John S. Burke’s Sage Owens, a powerful presence in the paint.
