Youths serenade the holidays

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Youth from Sullivan County schools will be providing plenty of holiday cheer this month in the form of holiday concerts.

The Government Center will provide a venue for many of these. Featured on Monday, December 14 will be Liberty Middle School Jazz Ensemble directed by Gary Siegel; on Wednesday, December 16 the Liberty High School Honors Chorus, directed by Tim Hamblin; on Thursday, December 17 the Liberty High School Honors Band, directed by Dan McConnell; on Monday, December 21, the Monticello High School Wind Symphony, directed by Dr. Kevin Dirth and Aaron Rovitz; on Tuesday, December 22, the Eldred High School Band & Chorus, directed by Justin Glodich; on Wednesday, December 23, the Roscoe Central School Music Program, with the elementary and high school bands directed by Kelly Bullis; and the Roscoe High School Chorus directed by Rachel Kleinman.

The Fallsburg High School will also hold a concert, at its own auditorium, on Friday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. The concert wil include both the chorus and the band under the direction of John Lusk.
