‘Gift of Dance’ benefits Christmas bureau

HONESDALE, PA — Joann Florance and The Honesdale Dance Studio will be hosting its sixth annual “Gift of Dance” to benefit the Wayne County Children’s Christmas Bureau at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12 at the Honesdale High School Auditorium. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for the Christmas bureau. There will also be a bake sale with donations from local businesses and the parents of the dancers. Donations can also be mailed to WCCCB, PO Box 583, Honesdale, PA 18431.

Adopt a family for Christmas

NARROWSBURG, NY — The St. Francis Xavier Outreach Program provides more than 60 local families with clothing and presents for their children so that they may have a Christmas. It serves needy families within a 15-mile radius of the parish. Sponsors are needed to adopt a family for the holiday. Everything is kept confidential.

CASA toy drive

MONTICELLO, NY — The Monticello Fire Department and the Monticello Fire Department Auxiliary are conducting a holiday toy drive to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Sullivan County. CASA is a not-for-profit agency that advocates for children within the Family Court System.

The Monticello Fire Department & Auxiliary are looking for donations of toys for children from birth to age 16. Your wrapped or unwrapped donation will be given to CASA for their Christmas Party for the Children.

If the donation is wrapped please mark on it if it is for a boy or a girl and the age; unwrapped donations will be wrapped by the Monticello Fire Department Auxiliary. All donations should be dropped off no later than December 15 to the Monticello Fire Department located at 23 Richardson Avenue in Monticello.
