Safe Haven Gift of Giving

MILFORD, PA — Volunteers from Save Haven, in conjunction with a number of other local organizations, are creating handmade ornaments to be placed on trees throughout Pike County. Each ornament will have a tag stating the first name and age of a child along with a few gift ideas. Bring unwrapped gifts back to the tree at which you picked up the ornament by Friday, December 18. You are free to keep the ornament.

The gifts will go to clients of Safe Haven, the Center for Developmental Disabilities, Pike County Children & Youth, and children of incarcerated parents at the Pike County Correctional Facility, Catholic Social Services, Mental Health Mental Retardation, Delaware Valley and Wallenpaupack School Districts. For many, they will be the only gifts the children receive.

A tree with these name tag ornaments will be placed on the Safe Haven porch, as well as at other trees throughout Pike County. For more information call 570/296-2827.
