Community chorus holds winter concert

MONTICELLO, NY — The Sullivan County Community Chorus will present its annual winter concert, “A Celebration of Holiday Music,” on Sunday, December 13 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello on Jones Street, under the direction of conductor David Trombley and chorus accompanist Lucille Horton. The chorus will perform seasonal works including Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” Camille Saint-Saens’ “Gloria,” Erik L. F. Contzius’ “Hineih Mah Tov” and other classical works. There will be orchestral accompaniment. All are welcome to a reception and holiday sing-along immediately following the concert downstairs in Fellowship Hall.

The Sullivan County Community Chorus consists of members from Sullivan, Orange and Ulster counties and range in age from 16 to over 80 years of age. Performances of the Sullivan County Community Chorus are made possible in part with funds from the Sullivan County Decentralization Program, a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.

Admission will be $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and is free for students and children accompanied by an adult. For more information call 845/794-7869.
