The Beach Lake Community Garden

Plan next summer’s garden

BEACH LAKE, PA — The Beach Lake Community Garden, located behind the Beach Lake United Methodist Church, has some garden parcels available for next spring. The garden is open to all in the area, and all are invited to sign up now to be ready to hit the ground running with their new gardens next year. The garden’s unofficial motto is, “We grow more than squash and tomatoes, we grow relationships.”

A $10 donation is requested to join, and all that you grow is yours to keep. The garden does, however, provide opportunities to donate to several local food pantries each summer. The food pantry program is called “Plant a Row for the Hungry,” and is open to home gardeners as well. The dates and times for home gardeners to drop off produce at the garden for transport to Honesdale will be published.
