Holiday Art Show and Sale
LACKAWAXEN, PA The second annual Holiday Art Show and Sale, organized by members of the Barryville Area Arts Association, will take place on Saturday, November 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Inn at Lackawaxen.
Fourteen participating regional artists will display affordable and unusual holiday art gifts. The work includes jewelry, photography, collage, works in slate, small drawings and paintings, poetry, sculpture, pottery, ornaments, greeting cards, woodworks and fiber. The Eldred School Art Club will sell cards designed by club members, with proceeds benefiting future art club events and activities.
The charming Inn at Lackawaxen, around the corner from the historic Roebling Bridge, will be bedecked with holiday décor, and there will be live music.

Tree lighting ceremony
NARROWSBURG, NY Narrowsburgs annual tree lighting will be held Saturday, November 28, at 6:00 p.m. at the observation deck on Main Street. Local musicians Stuart Hirsch and Steve Utzig will lead carols, Main Street merchants will offer treats and refreshments, and Santa will arrive and switch on Main Streets Christmas lights.
A light show for the season of lights
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY Bridgewater Mercantile and Salon DArts will host a show of vintage light fixtures, opening at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27 just before the annual James Dworetsky Holiday Parade.
On display will be the most recent creations of light designer Paul Pisanelli, who has been working on antique lighting since the 70s and has done numerous Manhattan homes and brownstones, including, most recently, the home of actor and comedian John Leguizamo.
Also on display until the end of December will be the drawings and sketches of scenic and costumes designer Robert De Mora, who has worked with Bette Midler since the begining of her career.
Holiday craft fair
BEACH LAKE, PA There will be a holiday craft fair sponsored by the Beach Lake Fire Company Auxiliary at the Beach Lake fire hall, Route 652 on Saturday, November 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The donation is $1 per adult. There will be door prizes, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Handmade for the Holidays
ROSCOE, NY The Handmade for the Holidays craft fair and pastry café will be held on November 28 and 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Duke Pottery, 855 County Road 93. A percentage of the sales will benefit The Catskill Mountainkeeper. The event will continue the following weekend, Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6. For more information call 607/498-5207.
Parade and tree lighting in Jeff
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY The James Dworetsky Holiday Parade will be held on Friday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m. on Main Street. The parade is one of biggest parades in Sullivan county, and gets bigger each year, with more fire department and floats in attendance.
There will be a party afterward, at which each child will get a gift from Santa, and there will be prize drawings for the big kids too. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. The community tree lighting will be at 6:30 p.m. at Goode & Plenty park. Carol around the tree as the tree is lit for the season. Stonewall Farms will bring some special furry friends to help celebrate the event.
All businesses in the area will be open during the parade and remain open until 9:00 p.m.
Holiday farmers market
CALLICOON, NY There will be a special indoor Callicoon farmers market on Sunday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Delaware Youth Center, Inc., 8 Creamery Road, down the street and across the bridge from Pecks Market.
Expected are vendors selling fresh and locally produced fruits and vegetables, meats, poultry, eggs, cows milk and goats milk cheeses, yogurt, non-homogenized milk, kefir, buttermilk, handmade soaps, face cream and personal care products, maple syrup and other maple products, honey, breads, pastries, croissants, pies, muffins and other baked goods, jams and jellies, prepared foods (quiches, soups, pesto, dips), artisan wine, handmade jewelry and pottery. Offerings are subject to last-minute changes.
Craft fair and luncheon
GRAHAMSVILLE, NY The Grahamsville United Methodist Church will host a holiday craft fair and luncheon on Saturday, December 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in its Fellowship Hall. The church is located on Route 55 in Grahamsville. There will be watercolors, pottery, stained glass, baked goods and more. The Christmas Café will offer soups, sandwiches and desserts for lunch. Thanksgiving open house at White Mills
WHITE MILLS, PA Several historic attractions in downtown White Mills will be open with free admission for all visitors on Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. each day. The sites include the restored 1867 Glassworkers House, the Historic 1911 Fire House and the original canal Lock Tenders House. The Dorflinger Glass Museum and Gift Shop at the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary will be open Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Lace-makers Christel Klug and Wahneta Dunn will demonstrate the techniques of bobbin lace-making and tatting at the glassworkers house on Charles Street on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. The house will be decorated for the holidays by curator Kurt Reed, who will use antique flat Dresden paper ornaments to trim the tree.

Kids can participate in New Years show
LIBERTY, NY The Cornell Cooperative Extension at 64 Ferndale-Loomis Road will host the 4-H Show-in-a-Week from Monday, December 28 through Thursday, December 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
The event gives students six to 12 years old an opportunity to learn about stage presence, vocal projection, performance confidence, set design, costuming and more. Under the direction of former actress and professional singer Amanda Galigher Speer, you youth will work to put together an unforgettable New Years Eve-themed performance for friends and family. Teen volunteers are also needed for bit parts, assistance and stage management.
A performance for friends and family will be at 3:30 p.m. on December 31, followed by a New Years Eve-themed reception for participants and their family. The fee is $100, $75 for 4-H members.
