Honesdale for the Holidays
HONESDALE, PAThose seeking a picturesque and festive venue to savor the first weekend of the holidays need look no further than historic Honesdale, where the annual Honesdale for the Holidays celebration will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28.
The Fred Miller Pavilion on Main Street will be alive with holiday music on both days, with DJ Tom Emanski from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., sponsored by RE/MAX Wayne and Meagher Auction Services. The annual Santa Parade will step out at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, starting at Main and Fourth Streets and finishing in Central Park.

Images of Wayne offered in silent auction
HONESDALE, PAJeff Hillers photo exhibit at the Wayne County Historical Society, Wayne County Faces and Places, will close on December 31, but until November 28, many of the framed photos are being offered for sale in a silent auction. At right is Dogwood, which will go to the high bidder during the societys annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 28. The open house begins at 4:00 p.m. and there will be time to bid until 6:00 p.m., when bids will be opened and winners announced.

Revival of Askew play benefits Human Rights Commission
LIBERTY, NYThe Sullivan County Human Rights Commission will hold a benefit reading of Rilla Askews By The Time We Got to Woodstock on Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Liberty Free Theatre at 109 South Main Street.
