An old-fashioned Christmas

MONTAGUE, NJ — The Montague Association for Restoration of Community History (MARCH) will celebrate the season by hosting a series of holiday weekends. The weekends will feature tours of the historic Foster-Armstrong House, which dates to circa 1790 and will be specially decorated for the holidays. It is located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area at 320 River Road (County Road 521), north of the Milford Bridge. Hours will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29, December 5 and 6 and December 12 and 13 (weather permitting).

Visitors can also visit the Minisink Reformed Church, whose congregation dates to 1737 and its current church to 1889. Aspects of the Martin Cole store will be recreated, along with an old-fashioned barber shop and post office and other sites. Santa will make a special appearance in the town on Saturday, December 5.

Admission is free, though donations are welcomed. For more information email ab1759hist@gmail.com or call 973-293-3106.
