‘New Moon’ at midnight

CALLICOON, NY — There’ll be a new moon at midnight at the Callicoon Theatre on Upper Main Street. This fall’s event film, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” rated PG-13, the second film in the Twilight Saga trilogy, will debut with a special midnight show at 12:01 a.m. Friday morning, November 20.

The 61-year-old Callicoon Theater, the largest in the area, will begin selling tickets for the midnight show at the box office on Thursday at 9:00 p.m., and doors open at 11:00 p.m. The midnight show comes on the heels of the tremendously popular midnight show in July of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” which attracted more than 200 patrons to the 380-seat single-screen theater.

Regularly scheduled shows of “New Moon” beginning on Friday, November 20 are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There will be no screenings on Thursdays. “New Moon” will play at the Callicoon Theater through Wednesday, December 9. Admission costs $8 for adults, $5 for children, matinees and Monday evenings.
