Student troupe presents Halloween play

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — The Sullivan West Acting Troupe will present “It Was a Dark and Stormy Night,” a murder mystery spoof, as this year’s Halloween play. It will be performed on Friday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 31 at 12:00 noon in the auditorium at the Sullivan West High School.

The show takes place in a long forgotten hotel in a swamp in Massachusetts, a place the locals give a wide berth. Eben, the demented proprietor, places an ad for a nurse in a Boston paper. Several apply, and thus begins a terrifying evening.

The show features Hannah Rettoun, Sommer Johansen and Sam Satanovsky as well as a talented supporting ensemble. The play may not be appropriate for young children.

Tickets cost $5 and are available at the door.
