Liberty celebrates its art walk

LIBERTY, NY — The Liberty Museum and Art Center, 46 South Main Street, will celebrate the Liberty Art Walk with a reception for the artists and property owners who made the initiative possible on Friday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m. Music for the event will be provided by guitarist New York George.

Painters, photographers and sculptors answered the Liberty Community Development Corporation’s (CDC) call to display their work in the large vacant storefront windows of Liberty’s Main Street in the heart of its business district. Today, over a dozen Main Street storefronts have been transformed into exhibition space for 10 local artists.

Robert Friedman, whose sculpture is featured, said that the walk “energizes downtown Liberty in the best possible way.”
