New traffic patterns ready for Honesdale

HONESDALE, PA — Major construction that will change the flow of traffic through the business section of Honesdale is very close to completion.

Traffic on Main Street will be one way south, and traffic on Church Street will flow one way north.

“We need to adjust the traffic lights that are already in place, paint new lines and do a few things on the Fourth Street Bridge,” said Carla Medura, PennDOT project manager.

The barrier on the bridge has been removed.

“We should be ready in one week, depending on the weather and the good operation of our equipment,” she said.

She added that the $9.48 million project is coming in close to budget.
