‘Living Treasure’ Rocklin has exhibit at Honesdale gallery

HONESDALE, PA—The Wayne County Arts Alliance is presenting an exhibit, “The Creative Life of Raymond Rocklin,” at the Willow River Galley, running through October 17. Rocklin has been designated as a WCAA “Living Treasure,” and has created a DVD, “Life as Art: The Life and Times of Raymond Rocklin,” by international photographer, film-maker and WCAA board member Michel Legrand that reveals an intimate glimpse into the life and creative genius of Rocklin.

Corrigan posts ‘Signs to Nowhere’ at River Gallery

NARROWSBURG, NY—River Gallery - The Art of Living will host an exhibit by mixed-media artist Dennis Corrigan, “Signs to Nowhere,” from Saturday, September 26 through October 24, with an opening reception on September 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Corrigan is considered by some to be the contemporary Hieronymous Bosch. A longtime resident of Wayne County, PA and professor at Marywood University in Scranton, he is one of the area’s most recognized talents. The River Gallery here presents the originals of both familiar and previously unseen Corrigan images.

Local composer Hoiby featured at ‘Music of Our Time’

NARROWSBURG, NY—The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and Delaware Valley Chamber Orchestra will present the 19th annual “Music of Our Time” concert, presenting music written by local composers, to take place on Saturday, September 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tusten Theatre. Lee Hoiby, who has lived in Long Eddy for 28 years, is this year’s featured composer.
