NEPA debuts Wine & Cheese Festival at Honesdale fairgrounds
HONESDALE, PA The Wayne County Fairgrounds will be the site of Northeastern Pennsylvanias first Wine & Cheese Festival from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26. In addition to an abundance of wine and cheeses, there will be more than 40 vendors showcasing locally produced baked goods, chocolates, maple syrup, honey, handcrafted items, art and jewelry.
Among the Pennsylvania wineries that will be offering wine tasting booths at the festival are Antler Ridge Winery (with locations in Bradford and Wayne counties), Capra Collina Vineyards (Lackawanna County) and Hidden Creek Vineyard & Winery (Susquehanna County). Locally crafted cheeses will be represented at booths presented by such area companies as Ardith Mae Farmstead Artisan Cheese, Calkins Creamery, Fallsdale Farm Cheese, LeRaysville Cheese Factory and Verys Farm Raw Milk Cheese.
Live entertainment will be featured throughout the day, and a variety of meals and snacks will be available at food stands. Vendors will include A Photographers Mind, Bethany Village, Hawkins Wood Creations, the Inn at Starlight Lake, The Fudge Lady, Philadelphia Water Ice and Yoders Bakery.
Advance tickets are now available at $15 each ($5 for designated driver/under 21 tickets). General admission tickets at the gate will cost $25.
