River’s Edge Writers holds weekend workshop

NARROWSBURG, NY — River’s Edge Writers, an intensive weekend writers’ workshop and residency in Narrowsburg, will hold its next weekend on September 11 through 13, and is offering a special rate for local residents of 30 percent off the $200 program rate ($140), which includes workshop fees, opening reception, structured writing time, group reading and most meals. Space in the workshop is limited.

The instructor for the weekend is Jess Row, a teacher and writer who has been named one of Granta’s “Best Young American Novelists” and recently received a PEN/O. Henry Award. His book “The Train to Lo Wu” was short-listed for the PEN/Hemingway Award and a finalist for the Kiriyama Prize.
