Try-City holds cabaret night
PORT JERVIS, NY Cristina Estepa, back left, Andrea Wynn, Jonathan Bolte, Kurt Merrill and Paula Flickenschild, front center, will be among the cast of the cabaret to be held on Friday, September 4 at the Erie Trackside Manor in Port Jervis as a fundraiser for Try-City Stages October production of Curtains. The cabaret will also feature Jim Quinlan, Christy Merchant, Dionna Eshleman, Jeff Brewster, Jaime Wright, Taylor James, Anthony Reyes, Karuss Williams, Noreen Hanson and Steve Davis.
Curtains is scheduled for October 1 through 4 at the Erie Trackside Manor with special dinner theatre performances on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3. The show is directed by Bill Thomas with choreography by Melissa Thomas and a cast of 26 actors, singers and dancers.

Community square dancing
YOUNGSVILLE, NY The Happy Footers Square Dance Club will hold two public square dances in September, one on Wednesday, September 9 and one on Wednesday, September 23 at the Youngsville School (across from the fire house), from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Light refreshments will be provided. Admission costs $2. It is not required to come as couples. The club caller, Bill Wagner, is a professional caller from PA.
The Happy Footers Square Dance Club, which has been in existence for more than 35 years, is a non-profit organization that seeks to heighten public awareness of square dancing.
Art-Fest benefits DCS
DAMASCUS, PA Damascus Citizens for Sustainability (DCS) will hold a fundraising event, Art-Fest: Artists Against Gas Drilling, on Saturday, September 12 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at 30 Delaware Avenue in Damascus. Each person donating $250 will receive a ticket to receive one artwork. Ticket buyers can view the artwork at damascuscitizens.org. Click on Art-Fest in the upper right corner of the home page. Among the artists are James Barth, Ursula Clark, Dale Emmart, Tom Holmes, Richard Kreznar, Candy Spilner and Margo Spoerri.
Those who dont hold tickets are also invited to enjoy the party and to make smaller donations. Lunch will be served.
