PEEC hosts family weekend for Labor Day

DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will host a Labor Day Family Nature Getaway from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7. Family getaways are packed with educational, social and recreational activities that will give your family the chance to spend time together while enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors.

The weekend costs $160 per person for PEEC members and $175 for non-members and includes all meals, lodging and family programs. Non-lodging rates are also available and are $100 per person for members and $115 for non-members. There are discounts for children 10 years old and under.

PEEC’s mission is to enhance environmental awareness, knowledge and appreciation through hands-on experience in a natural outdoor classroom. It provides unique year-round environmental experiences to families, school groups, scouts and nature enthusiasts of all ages. PEEC is located near mile marker 8, within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, in Dingmans Ferry (Lehman Township).
