Lumberland primary set for September 15

GLEN SPEY, NY — The Town of Lumberland will elect a new town supervisor since John LiGreci’s term expires on December 31. LiGreci has announced he will not run again, and Republican candidates Jay Shafer and Faber Wilson will vie for the seat, as will Democratic candidate Nadia Rajsz. Two council seats will also become available at year’s end when terms expire for Leigh Sherman and Faber Wilson. Pursuing those seats will be Democratic candidates Gregory Bodnaruik and Van B. Krzywicki, as well as Republican candidates James Akt, William McKerrell and Leigh Sherman.
