Library holds benefit dinner dance under the harvest moon
PIKE COUNTY, PA The Pike County Public Library (PCPL) is hosting its third annual seasonal enchanted evening, to support the operations and capital campaign for the Library System. This years event, Harvest Moon in Pike County, will be held on September 26 at Camp Timber Tops, nestled under a grove of soaring pine trees. Starting at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and music in the rustic lodge, a gourmet harvest supper of three courses of Pennsylvania-inspired cuisine will follow. As in previous years, the meal will be donated by Sharon and Peter Daniel of Le Gorille restaurant, assisted by guest sous-chef Jeff Lamperti of Shohola.
The event will also feature an auction of Treasures and Pleasures that Money Cant Buy, organized by Brenda Ruello, Perry Payne and Rhonda Evers and conducted by Pike County auctioneer Sean Strub.
The evening under the harvest moon will conclude with dancing to the music of Rod Ruth and his ensemble, with Michael Rice at the piano.
