LIBERTY, NY The Bikearoo Music Fest09 will be held on August 22 at Walnut Mountain Park. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. and music starts at 2:00 p.m.
The Bikearoo music festival is a true grassroots concert supporting the LibertyBikeTrail.org cause: bringing the benefits of bicycling to the youth of Sullivan County and preserving/creating multi-use hiking and biking trails.
A galaxy of regional bands in a variety of musical styles are donating their time to support the LibertyBikeTrail.org cause. The lineup will include Verdes, from New Paltz (folk, alternative rock); Rory and The Rebels of Rock, from New Jersey (punk rock); Strangers Wasted, from New Jersey (alternative rock); The TJ Moss Band, from New York City (pop rock); Faithful Aggression, from Scranton (acoustic hard rock); and Empire, from Hartford, CT (hard rock).
Metro City Grill will cook up its renowned sausage and peppers and cheese-steaks, and Pepacton Natural Foods will have healthy snacks and drinks. There will be bouncy houses and plenty of room to lie out in the grass, sit back and enjoy some great music.
Tickets cost $5 and are available now at facebook.com/l/;bikearoo.org. They can also be picked up at Floyd and Bobos Bakery on North Main Street in Liberty.
