NARROWSBURG, NY—“Recollections: Objects of Memory,” an exhibition of sculpture by Nadine Saylor, opens at the Alliance Gallery this Friday, with an artist’s reception from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saylor sculptures employ the special qualities of glass to explore concepts related to history—both personal and social—and the evolution of feminine identity.

Animals, rides, music and thrills—all for one price at the Wayne County Fair

HONESDALE, PA—The Wayne County Fair will return to the fairgrounds north of Honesdale for the 147th year from Friday, August 7 through Saturday, August 15. The fair’s $8 pay-one-price admission covers parking, small stage shows, most grandstand shows and rides.

As always, there will be 4-H livestock exhibits and judging throughout the fair, in the arena. The 4-H livestock sale will occur at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15.

Festival celebrates wood in all its incarnations

MILFORD, PA —“Goods From The Woods” is the focus of the fifth annual Festival of Wood at Grey Towers National Historic Site on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9. This family-friendly and mostly free event offers a variety of activities that demonstrate the many ways we use and enjoy wood in our everyday lives.
