Day of music helps support our troops

LACKAWAXEN, PA — River Jam, a day-long musical extravaganza featuring seven bands, will be held on Saturday, August 8 starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Lackawaxen Fire Department. The event will benefit Soldiers’ Angels, a volunteer-led nonprofit with 200,000 volunteers that has over 30 different teams supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces; and education, by way of Lcpl. Jacob Beisel Memorial Scholarship Fund in the Wallenpaupack School District.

There will be performances by the Todd Wolfe Band, the Dana Fuchs Band, the Scott Weis Band, The Bobby Kyle Band, The Bandulos, The Fringe and Forty and Bloated. Activities for kids and adults are planned throughout the day, along with food and a variety of vendors.

Tickets cost $20, but admission will be free for members of the active military with proper ID. Guests are asked to bring items for our soldiers.
