New choral group

formed in Milford

MILFORD, PA — A new choral group, The Delaware Valley Choral Society, has been formed. The group has already performed in two sold-out concerts: a Bach Advent concert given in November 2008 and a Vivaldi Easter concert given April 2009. Musicians from the surrounding area have been gathering to perform special concerts for some time now under the direction of Jeffrey Fornoff, Music Director of the Milford United Methodist Church. With the performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria this past April, members of the group expressed a desire to continue performing great choral works, giving rise to the formation of the Delaware Valley Choral Society.

The Delaware Valley Choral Society will perform next on Saturday, November 28, with rehearsals beginning Sunday, August 23. Works for this concert will include pieces by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst and John Leavitt. As with previous concerts, professional soloists and instrumentalists will join the group.
