The tour gives visitors the chance to visit, talk with, and purchase the creative works of 20 premier artists living and working in Wayne County at the studios where they produce their work.

Paul Austin is a remarkable man. Over the years he has worn many hats—actor, writer, director and teacher. Austin has participated in virtually all aspects of the theater world and his resume is impressive.

Not only has he written for, and about, the stage, but his plays have been produced in New York and around the country. For many years, he was the artistic director of the Image Theatre and Studio in NYC, and still found time to appear in film and television productions. He has directed well over 100 plays, including many new works.

Opera season returns to the Upper Delaware

Buoyant DVO makes this ‘Widow’ dance

NARROWSBURG, NY—You don’t know how close the Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) came to not opening its 2009 season.

Like all artistic companies, be they opera, ballet, symphony or amateur theater, DVO is struggling for its life. Despite the realities of the economic downturn, the DVO board and its cadre of singers, instrumentalists and stage workers decided to give their all and have a shortened season. Instead of 12 performances it will hold eight.
