On Sunday, July 5, RiverFolk Concerts held a benefit for our dear friend Angela Page. Since 1993, Angela Page has been exposing folks in New York’s Catskill Mountains region to a blend of music from the contemporary folk scene through her weekly radio show, “Folk Plus,” airing Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on hydro-powered public radio WJFF 90.5 FM. To help defray medical and legal expenses related to a chemical sensitivities illness she contracted while working as a school media specialist in a mold-infested middle school library, we decided she was deserving of “a little help from her friends.”

A huge thank you to all the performers—Joe Crookston, The Riff Kings, Mike Agranoff, Arlon Bennett, Miche Fambro, Ken and Julie, Peggy Atwood, Lydia Adams Davis, Ben Seibert, The Crackers, Two Steps Back, John Webber and Callison Stratton—for their incredible performances. And thanks also to the many volunteers and friends who donated their time, and to those folks who were so kind as to make a donation when they couldn’t be there. We had a wonderful day of great music for an incredible lady, great weather and good friends. Other than more attendees, what else could we have asked for?

I am looking for photos of the event as I saw many “goodfolks” taking them, so if you are able to send them to me, I would like to put together a compilation of this special benefit.
