Studio Monday holds art show in memory of Evelyn Porter

HASBROUCK, NY — The Daniel Pierce Library will exhibit the artwork of the group Studio Monday at the Old Stone House from Saturday, July 4 through Sunday, July 26. The opening reception will be on July 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Studio Monday grew out of a group of local artists that has gathered in Grahamsville to encourage one another’s artistry for over 20 years, under the tutelage of artist Evelyn Porter. The original group of five has grown to a membership of more than 20. Potter passed away in May of this year, and the show is dedicated to her memory.

The Old Stone House is a 200 year-old stone building nestled alongside the Wyncoop Brook and Neversink River in Hasbrouck.
