Wood, stone, steel and ice

MILFORD, PA — For the third consecutive year, local Shohola painter and New York City graphic designer David Lee Bush will show a new collection of paintings on wood at the Artery Gallery. The images draw inspiration from the garden, from the commonplace and from the ancient. Work by Bush is also showing in the upcoming July Salmagundi Club show in NYC.

Tom Holmes, an artist, sculptor and musician living and working in the NEPA valley, will exhibit works in stone and steel, burnt wood and ice. The undercurrents of natural decay, unity, duality, symmetry, space, time and dimension are at the heart of Holmes’ creative work.

The show will run from Thursday, July 9 through Monday, August 3, with an artist’s reception to be held on Saturday, July 11 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., coinciding with Milford’s Art After Dark, a town- wide arts-walk.

The Artery is located in historic Forest Hall at the corner of Broad and Harford streets. Regular gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 to 3:00 p.m. Special summer Saturday hours are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
