Wurtsboro celebrates with duck race, park rededication

WURTSBORO, NY — Wurtsboro’s Veterans’ Park will provide the setting for the sixth annual Charlie Gutekunst Memorial Duck Race on Sunday, June 28. The race will begin at 4:00 p.m., with duck sales taking place on-site the day of the event.

The event offers prizes of $200 for first place, $100 for second place, $50 for third place and $10 for last place. All proceeds benefit Wurtsboro Renaissance’s Category C project. Prior to the duck race, a ribbon cutting ceremony and rededication of Wurtsboro Veterans’ Park will take place. Local dignitaries, Sullivan Renaissance members, friends and supporters will join together to rededicate the park as part of their annual project.
