NARROWSBURG, NY — This Saturday, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will present an evening of multimedia, improvisationand theatrical demonstrations by the internationally renowned Margolis Brown ADAPTORS Company, as the magic of creating original theater unfolds before your eyes.

Margolis Brown ADAPTORS Company was founded in New York City in 1983 by award-winning artistic directors Kari Margolis and Tony Brown. The company’s 14 original, large-scale productions have toured nationally and to Berlin, London, Sigapore, and throughout Canada and Mexico. Brown has also created site-specific events for such places as the Brooklyn Museum, the beach at Coney Island and the Minnesota Science Museum. The work of Margolis and Brown has been recognized with six fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, a NY Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, a “Bessie,” a Pew/TCG National Artist Fellowship, a Creative Capital National Artist Fellowship and several McKnight Foundation Fellowships, among several other prestigious awards.

Margolis and Brown’s original ensemble theatre productions combine an emotionally charged physicality with the unusual use of everyday objects, multimedia imagery, text, song and magic. The performance is directed by Kari Margolis, with original music by Tony Brown.

Audience members are invited to stay after the show for refreshments and an informal chat with the performers.
