Music in Central Park welcomes Irish Balladeers
HONESDALE, PA The Irish Balladeers will make their debut at the Wayne County Creative Arts Councils Music in Central Park series on Monday, June 22. The trio of musicians has been performing together for 40 years, having appeared on the Mike Douglas show and with the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. They are also well known on the Irish festival circuit up and down the eastern seaboard. Their repertoire includes folk, traditional ballads, Irish dance music and some rebel songs as well.
Chuck Rogers is on banjo and harmonica, Bob Rogers is on guitar and accordion and Todd Spinoza rounds out the trio with bass and bagpipes.
This will be the third in a series of fourteen free concerts presented by the Wayne County Creative Arts Council every Monday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. from June 15 to July 30. The exception is the Fourth of July weekend, when there will be no Thursday concert, but a celebration in the park on Friday, July 3.
The concerts are free but a free will offering will be taken. Refreshments will be available before and during the concert. In case of inclement weather the concert will be in the Episcopal Parish House adjacent to the Park.
