Farce takes the stage at the Rivoli
SCDW presents What the Rabbi Saw
SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop (SCDW) will continue its 2009 season with Billy VanZandt and Jane Milmores farce, What the Rabbi Saw, at the Rivoli Theatre starting on Thursday, June 11.
Wendy is marrying Walter. But Claudia wants Walter, and Wendy wants Mitch. Its the ultimate parents nightmareand all the madcap mayhem is taking place on the wedding day.
Under the direction of Bunny Woloszczak of Hurleyville, the troupe of actors includes Ed Berens of Monticello, Albee Bockman of Hurleyville, Leonard DeDuke of Equinunk, PA, Megan Grieco of Rock Hill, Wayne Kreuscher of New Paltz, Ellen Pavloff of Kerhonksen, Petra Santiago of Woodridge, Matthew Side of Mongaup Valley, Lonnie Smith of Livingston Manor and Heather Strauss of Rock Hill. The technical director is Jim Schmidt of Hurleyville and Rosalie Siciliano of Grahamsville is the stage manager.
Performances of What the Rabbi Saw are slated for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, June 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 at 8:00 pm and Sunday matinees, June 14, 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the air conditioned, handicapped accessible Nartoff-Wells Auditorium of The Rivoli Theatre, 437 Route 42.
Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens (ages 60 plus) and $7 for students with a valid student ID. For a Friday night special, audience members can set their own price and pay what they can. Tickets will be available for all performances at the box office starting one hour prior to curtain for each performance. They can also be ordered online at www.ShowTix4U.com.
