EDMUND C. CHOINSKI
Edmund C. Choinski of Beach Lake, PA died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at home following an illness. He was 80.
He was the husband of the former Ethel Kenyon.
Born in Duryea, PA March 4, 1928, Edmund was the son of the late John and Stefania Panspczzk. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and later worked as an insurance underwriter and was assistant vice president of St. Paul Life Insurance Company.
He was a member of the VFW in Duryea and the American Legion. Edmund attended the Damascus United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wildlife and loved his home and family. Edmund will always be remembered as a generous man with a very giving spirit.
Surviving are sons John Evans and wife Amy, Galilee, PA and William Evans, Milanvillve, PA; sisters Jean Gillis, Delaware and Helen Gerboc, Duryea; and granddaughter Laurel Evans.
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 23, 2009 in the Milanville Cemetery, Milanville, PA.

DANIEL J. HERLEHY
Daniel J. Herlehy of Cherry Ridge, PA died May 21, 2009 at the hospice unit at Mercy Hospital in Scranton, PA. He was 62.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Sharon L. Sherry Pedrick. The couple married April 28, 1996.
Born October 15, 1946 in Oneida, NY he was the son of Gerald and Helen McCarthy Herlehy.
He received his education degree with honors from Oswego College and taught in the New York State school system. Later he managed a Sears Catalog Store in Honesdale, PA and in 1993 opened the Homefront, Inc.
Dan was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1858, the Knights of Columbus #363, St. John the Evangelist Parish, and longtime member of Perkins Pond Hunting and Fishing Club.
Also surviving is his son Daniel Jr. of Portland, OR; daughter Susan Herlehy and fiancee Jason of Williamsport, PA; step-son Michael Coe and wife Michelle of Pittston, PA; step-daughters Heather Klem and husband David of Williamsport, Laurie Mulligan and husband John of Honesdale, Tamsen Holbert and husband Craig of Milanville, PA; brother Richard and wife Juanita of Jupiter, FL; and 13 grandchildren.
Cremation was held at Maple Hill at Salem Crematory. A Memorial Mass was held on May 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment followed in St. Marys Cemetery.

JANET D. INNELLA
Janet D. Innella of Port Jervis, NY, a lifetime resident of the area, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Nyack Hospital, Nyack, NY. She was 74.
She was born October 9, 1934 in Sparrowbush, NY, the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Nied Dain.
She was the president of the Port Jervis/Deerpark Humane Society for over 28 years and a member of the Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis.
Janet began her legal career with attorney Jerry Cohen in Port Jervis and also worked as a legal secretary for Bavoso & Plotsky Law Office.
A family statement reads: Janets family would like to thank Gretal and Earl Walker of Port Jervis, everyone at Bavoso & Plotsky, and the doctors and staff at Friedwald Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing.
Survivors include her companion John W. Jack Kellam of Port Jervis; stepdaughter Susan Kellam of Sparrowbush, NY; brother William Dain and wife Diane of Patchog, NY; sister Dolores E. Viserta and husband Mike of Seneca, SC; granddaughter, Cassandra Kellam of Skylerville, NY; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Vincent G. Innella, on December 15, 1979; stepson Jon Patrick Kellam; and brothers Lawrence and Douglas Dain.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 24 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Port Jervis. Burial was at Quarry Hill Cemetery, Rio, NY.

THOMAS JOSEPH LACEY
Thomas Joseph Lacey of Masthope, Lackawaxen, PA, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at home. He was 67.
Born June 7, 1941, in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Alice (Nodes) Lacey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Arleen F. Koehler, on May 11, 2009.
Formerly of Middletown, NJ, he was a retired explosives inspector at Earl Naval Weapons Station in Colts Neck, NJ. He served in the Army from 1958 and 1961. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #2858 of N. Middletown and Wilson Kelch Post #311 American Legion. He loved woodworking and building.
He is survived by children Edward P. Lacey of Hawley, PA, Phyllis Kurtz of Copley, OH, Thomas Joseph Lacey Jr. of Middletown and Kelly Ann Susino of Keansburg, NJ; grandchildren Tara, Jenel, Joseph, Christopher, Brendan, Thomas III, Brittany, Morgan and Colin; a great grandchild; brothers and sisters Alice Lacey of Keansburg, Margaret McGowan of Toms River, NJ, Patrick Lacey of N. Arlington, NJ, Edward Lacey of Oakhurst, NJ, Walter Lacey of Middletown, Catherine Cusano of Middletown and Mary Lacey of North Carolina; sister-in-law Susanne Lacey of Keansburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by brothers George and James Lacey.
Prayer service was on Tuesday, May 26 at Teeters East Chapel, Hawley, PA with Deacon Glenn Biagi of St. Anns Roman Catholic Church of Shohola, PA officiating. Private cremation was at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.
FILOMENA TOMASULO
Filomena Tomasulo, a homemaker and longtime area resident, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. She was 83.
The daughter of the late Vincent and Giovanna DeCintio Pennacchia, she was born May 20, 1926 in Italy.
Filomena was a member of St. Peters Roman Catholic Church in Monticello, NY.
Survivors include her sons John Tomasulo of Smallwood and Richard Tomasulo and his wife Joanne of Grove City, OH; daughter JoAnn Shaw and husband Fredric of Smallwood; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale Tomasulo; her son, Vincent J. Tomasulo; and several brothers and sisters.
Private graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, May 23, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel, NY. The Rev. Ivan Csete officiated.
