Writers workshops to be held in Narrowsburg
NARROWSBURG, NY The Riversedge Writers Workshops will hold a series of intensive weekend writers workshops this summer. The weekends will be led by authors who will teach groups of four to 10 participants.
On June 5 through 7, editor Meg Storey of Tin House Books and writer Casey Kait (Digital Hustlers, HarperCollins) will teach about the importance of a projects first five pages and the art of the book proposal. On July 24 to 26, writing coach and editor Jill Dearman (Bang the Keys, Penguin) will guide participants in developing their writing practices. On September 11 through 13, Best Young American Novelist Jess Row (The Train to Lo Wu, Random House) will lead students in a fiction workshop. All workshops run from Friday to Sunday at the Delaware River Retreat, and will include a welcome reception and communal dinner.
In honor of its inaugural season, Riversedge is offering local residents a discount for all 2009 workshops.
