Creativity abounds at the summer library
WESTERN SULLIVAN COUNTY Be Creative @ Your Library is this years summer program at the Western Sullivan Public Library. Children in the program will create mammoth murals, learn how to use a video camera, try out new hip-hop moves and write and produce their own theater production. Special artist mentors will include actors from NACL Theater, videographer Ron Littke from Icehouse Arts and writer/performer Allan Wolf from Candlewick Press.
The program is free and open to young people Kindergarten through young adult, and offers programs, special events, art projects, prize drawings, story hours, a reading club and more. Children will be encouraged to read five books or an hour a week (family members may read to younger children) in order to qualify for weekly prizes and the grand prize raffle.
